  1. What’s the first step of the process when I want to buy a home?
    1. Answer: The Mortgage Pre-Approval.
  2. How long does it take (from the day that we start) to buy a new home?
    1. Answer: Around 30 days
  3. Do I need a REALTOR®?  And what do they do?
    1. Answer: YES!  And they do almost every part of the process for you…except choose the home.  That’s for you! 🙂
  4. How much dues a Realtor® cost?
    1. Answer: Nothing for the buyer.  The seller pays all the fees.
  5. Do you have some good advice for me since I’m a first-time Homebuyer?

  6. I don’t have great credit…how high does my credit score need to be?
    1. Answer: 620+
  7. I’m assuming there are some special home buying programs?
    1. Answer: Yes. Mostly VA loans, USDA loans, and FHA loans.
  8. How much money do I need to save for a down payment?
    1. Answer: It depends on the type of loan that you get. Typically it is 3-5% down.
  9. What other fees do I need to be aware of?
    1. Answer: Mostly the loan origination fees and then there are the closing costs.  Sometimes you can get the seller to pay for these.
  10. When will I ket the keys to my new house?
